Jeff Quinn, Archery Antelope Hunting Guide for Golden Eagle Guide Service

Before being forced to retired, I had always planned on being a guide. In fact, in 2001 I took two weeks and went to COAGS guide school and received the 2 week certification.

Every year, for the last 20 years I went to South Dakota and hunted with Double K Guide Service. When I received the news regarding retirement, I called Dave Kaiser and asked him for a job which he offered me, guiding deer and pheasant. The following year he invited me to guide spring turkey along with deer and pheasant. This past year he asked me run his antelope camp as well as guide for spring turkey, deer and pheasant. I have truly enjoyed this experience; I love helping fellow hunters and especially congratulating them after they’ve shot a trophy.

Being forced to retire was truly a blessing as I am now able to do what I have always wanted to do, be outdoors and hunt. While I’m not guiding or hunting, I travel. My wife and I own a fifth wheel camper and we’ve traveled to almost every state in the United States.

My wife Janice and I ran antelope camp for the last 3 years. We have had 3 very successful seasons and are looking forward to another very good season! Of course, we have to thank Golden Eagle Guide Service owner Dan Davis for allowing us to guide again!

Janice does all of our cooking and is excellent at it. All hunters will have three meals per day.
